• God is love

  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; 1 John 4:7

  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 1 Corinthians 13:4

  Charity never faileth: 1 Corinthians 13:8

  In the King James, "charity" here is the same Greek word as "love" in Galatians 5:22 (agapē, Strong's G26).
